What is Evil Bone Water Used For?
Main Uses:
-
Pain Relief: Evil Bone Water is perfect for common aches and pains. It works for:
- Acute injuries (like sprains, strains, flare ups of tennis/golfers elbow, etc.)
- Chronic pain (including joint pain, back pain, knee pain, hand arthritis, sites of old injuries or surgeries, etc.)
- Post-workout muscle soreness
- Sports injuries to muscles and tendons
- Neck and shoulder tension
- Thumb, hand, and wrist arthritis
-
Go-to First Aid Spray: If it’s red, recent, and on the skin, Evil Bone Water is your answer. It’s great for:
- Bumps and bruises
- Scrapes and scratches
- Sprains and strains (if you wonder if you've broken a bone, go to an ER or Urgent Care. Evil Bone Water is not intended to help treat bone breaks. It can help recovery, but only AFTER you have a cast or other stabilizing method for the bone.)
- Pimples and minor contact dermatitis (careful around eyes!)
- Mosquito and Insect bites (including bee stings and spider bites)—it can also reduce itching!
-
Beyond Pain Relief: In addition to pain and injury, Evil Bone Water works for:
- Nasal congestion and stuffy nose—spray on your hands or a tissue and inhale; the menthol and camphor clear the sinuses, acting like a natural Vicks Vapor Rub
- Headaches—apply to the temples or back of the neck, or inhale deeply to relieve tension
- Poison Ivy or mild skin rashes from a skin irritant in the environment —it soothes irritation, relieves itching, and reduces the severity and spread of things like poison ivy or poison oak if applied early and often. (Important: For rashes related to communicable diseases like measles, always consult a doctor and Evil Bone Water will not help these kinds of rashes.)
- Mosquito and Insect Repellent. Evil Bone Water can double as a natural, non-toxic insect repellent! Mosquitos and insects don’t like the smell (but humans do!), making it a great natural alternative to chemical-based repellents, which can contain harmful carcinogens and other chemicals we don't want to put on ourselves or our children. Simply spray it on your arms and legs when outdoors. The scent of the herbs lingers for about half an hour or more—just reapply as needed! (Do not spray direct to face as the odor/fumes it will likely irritate eyes.)
- Invigorating After Shave splash. It helps quell irritation, soothe the skin. If you nick yourself, it can help stop bleeding more quickly. Spray the tiny piece of toilet paper you place on the bleeding spot. It will stop bleeding more quickly and avoid redness after. (May sting slightly as it is alcohol based. Also, don't get near the eyes).
The Power of Balanced Herbs: Warm and Cold for Faster Healing
One of the secrets to Evil Bone Water’s powerful effects lies in its balanced mixture of warm and cold herbs, which makes it effective for both acute and chronic pain. This balance reduces inflammation while simultaneously increasing circulation, promoting quicker healing by moving good blood in and bad blood out.
Unlike conventional treatments like ice, which may reduce pain but inhibit circulation, Evil Bone Water works by allowing blood flow to carry away inflammation and bring in fresh nutrients. This is the root of true healing. You’ll find that it doesn't just mask symptoms but actively supports the body's natural ability to heal itself. If I were on a desert island and could bring just three things, this would be on that list, in addition to regular sushi and a phone connection to my son in college. It’s that versatile and useful!
How to Apply:
- Regular Strength: Spray directly on the affected area and let it dry. Do not wipe off; allow the herbs to absorb into the skin. Apply at least twice a day.
- Extra strength: Repeat 2-3 applications at the same sitting to make it extra strength. Spray, Let absorb into skin. Respray. and Repeat.
- Extra Extra strength: 2-3 applications at each sitting, every few yours—will enhance its effect on more seriuos injuries.
- Make a poultice instead of ice for sprains and bee stings.
- Wet a paper towel, napkin, or even the pad of a band-aid and apply directly to the area.
- Secure it with medical tape or a band-aid—or just sit there holding it in place. Rewet as it dries for ongoing relief.
- For headaches or nasal congestion, spray on your hands or a napkin and inhale deeply.
- For insect repellent, spray on exposed skin before heading outdoors to ward off mosquitos and insects.
Important:
- External use only—do not drink Evil Bone Water!
- Spot check a small area of skin for allergic reactions before full use.
- Keep out of the eyes—camphor and menthol can irritate. If it gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water or just blink to allow your tears to flush out the irritant. It’s like cutting onions or jalapeños—it’ll sting but won’t cause damage.
- If you apply it with or on your hands, wash them before touching your eyes!
What’s Inside Evil Bone Water?
Evil Bone Water is based on a very famous traditional formula called Zheng Gu Xue, with a history dating back over 500 years. While the exact origins are challenging to trace, common lore suggests it was developed during the Ming Dynasty by a master herbalist. This long history underscores its time-tested safety and effectiveness. Today, Evil Bone Water represents the highest-quality version of this ancient formula, crafted with modern precision while honoring its historical roots. Unfortunately, the quality of similar sprays from China has been declining in recent years, while prices have risen. This prompted the creation of Evil Bone Water—a premium, affordable solution that remains true to the traditional formula while ensuring top-notch quality.
